ARTIST STATEMENT

COVID-19 led the world into quarantine, in hopes to slow down and stop the spread of COVID. The pandemic put a hold to many things, including sports organizations like the Soccer League. Soccer Fans were no longer able to go to stadiums for games but this didn’t stop them from supporting their teams. Being the most watched sport in the world, competitive soccer fans all over the world cheered for their teams through live streams, from the comfort of their own home. Soccer fans don’t just see it as a game or a sport, it’s a passion. Regardless of what team they support, they all come together for the love of their team, country and soccer. My work consists of messages that represent the beauty of soccer, its players, its fans and how it brings people all around the world together. I want my work to motivate the fans, as they did for me. The World Cup only takes place every four years. As it approaches this year, I will be promoting Urban Wrists new line of Bracelets and mainly Keychains (aka Cleatchains) that represent countries/ teams played in the World Cup and other Soccer Leagues around the world. Urban Wrist plans to send a percentage of the proceeds to third world countries. FIFA’s slogan “For the people, for the World,” is a perfect idea of what my work is all about. I hope to make a difference, even if it’s small.
